Hey folks!
A happy new year to you and a little update here on my current adventures/creative balms for crazy days, written for a newsletter:
Multi-artform artist, producer and researcher Amy Tsilemanis is bringing her creative offerings together this year as A.T Studio, and her first project is a creative residency at Barkly Square Ballarat. Supported by a Creative Inspiration grant with City of Ballarat and based in the new Food is Free Inc shop space, Amy is ‘story researcher in residence’ scoping a series of audio walks connecting to the site and the theme of plants, gardens, food, community connection and societal health.
She will connect with Food is Free Inc, the Yarning Garden, Ballarat Regional Multicultural Council (BRMC) and the Barkly Square community in this research and development phase, as well as partnering with geolocated audio platform Soundtrails, and international creative collective Walk-Listen-Create. You may even hear her back on Ballarat community radio, Voice FM!
Amy is artist in residence in the Food is Free Inc. space every Monday over the next few months. You can also catch her manning the shop on Saturdays, and running some upcoming workshops, Multi art-form Wanders with Amy interweaving walking, collage, poetry and more.
The Creative Inspiration grant is also supporting Amy to attend the Feral MBA with FLOAT down in East Gippsland, exploring her work as a co-founder of the Australian Walking Artists and in development of A.T Studio, alongside a cohort of movers and shakers exploring regenerative practice.
Described as creative offerings exploring the richness of existence, at A.T Studio you can engage Amy for: creative commissions, projects, collaborations, and workshops; creative consultancy on projects, places, partnerships, and funding; design and delivery of recreational activities and projects in diverse communities (Cert IV in Health and Leisure, 2025), and contract work in the GLAM field- galleries, libraries, archives and museums- with the speciality of Creative Activation of the Past (PhD, 2021).
Exciting stuff! Don’t forget to check out Teapot Alley too! Just on the way down to the shop, celebrating tea, friendship, and welcome.
Look forward to connecting with you all this year,
Amy
